A new 30-second television ad released today, by NARAL Pro-Choice America, attacks Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker for his decision to not only push an extreme anti-choice agenda, but to make it a priority above the economic interests of the state.
The ad is in response to Walker’s recent misleading ad in which he claims to have stayed out of a woman’s health care choices.
NARAL’s ad features Miranda, of Madison, Wisconsin speaking directly to camera and reminding voters of all the restrictions Walker has put in place. The ad, which NARAL Pro-Choice America is spending five figures on, will air statewide starting this weekend.

Last month NARAL Pro-Choice America announced that Walker would also be the target of a mail and phone campaign using similar messaging.
“7 in 10 voters support a woman’s right to choose and yet, despite the longstanding need for attention to the economic conditions in Wisconsin, Governor Walker has spent a substantial part of his time in office figuring out how to deny women access to vital health care,” said Erika West, Political Director at NARAL. “As his race has tightened, Governor Walker has tried to mislead voters about his real position on choice. The fact of the matter is that Scott Walker is one of the most extreme anti-choice Governors in the country. That is a fact he can not run from nor is it a fact we’re going to let voters forget.”

Governor Walker – I saw your new ad.
You’re not being honest with Wisconsin women.
You said you would ban abortion entirely – with no exceptions for rape or incest.
You signed a law allowing government to interfere in our private health care decisions.
Even forcing some women to undergo invasive trans-vaginal ultrasounds.
With everything our families are facing, why is your priority interfering with my health care decisions?
Well, Governor Walker, I’ve made my decision – Wisconsin needs a new direction.
