Statement of Sasha Bruce, Senior Vice President of Campaigns and Strategy of NARAL Pro-Choice America:

“The Supreme Court’s decision validates what we’ve always known to be true, the Affordable Care Act is both constitutional and it is working for Americans who need it most. Millions of Americans now have health care coverage who didn’t have it before and the uninsured rate has fallen to a record low. Without the Affordable Care Act, women would be charged more for health insurance and expected to pay out of pocket for the ability to decide, when, if, and how to have a child. Women in this country know what family planning options work best for us and we deserve to have access to a wide range of birth control without paying extra.

While extremists in Congress continue to play politics with the law and attempt to gut it, millions of Americans can rest assured that they can keep their health insurance and be covered.”
