Statement from Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America:
“Today, anti-choice politicians are showcasing their obsession with controlling women’s bodies. Again. This is the 5th vote in their fruitless witch hunt to defund Planned Parenthood, which would—if successful—only deny low-income men and women access to vital health care.
“Anti-choice lawmakers are not only ignoring conclusions from 14 separate state investigations that exonerate Planned Parenthood of any wrong doing, but they are also dismissing the results from three previous Congressional hearings that demonstrate Planned Parenthood’s value to millions of Americans.”
“7 in 10 Americans believe women deserve the dignity and respect to make their own health care decisions. It’s time for anti-choice politicians to listen.”
