NARAL Pro-Choice America praises Clinton’s Boston Globe op-ed on SCOTUS

January 8, 2016

NARAL Pro-Choice America announced this morning that it will run online ads in New Hampshire to promote Secretary Clinton’s Boston Globe op-ed on the importance of the Supreme Court and the 2016 election.

Joel Foster, national political director for NARAL Pro-Choice America, issued the following statement:

“For decades the anti-choice movement has sought to stack the courts at every level to achieve their objective of overturning Roe v. Wade and banning all abortions in this country. Using the courts to advance their agenda is the cornerstone of the anti-choice movement strategy. Because of this, we expect the Supreme Court to consider challenges to abortion rights and abortion access nearly every term for the foreseeable future.

“Who sits on the Supreme Court matters. It matters for women, and all Americans, who are part of the majority in this nation and believe women have a constitutional right to make their own decisions about their bodies and their health care. And because who sits on the Supreme Courts matters, elections matters. Through her op-ed today, Secretary Clinton once again proved why she is the champion we need in the White House.”

Everyone should be able to decide if, when, how, and with whom they start or grow a family.
