NARAL responds to Trump pledge to appoint justices who would overturn Roe v. Wade

Ilyse Hogue, President of NARAL Pro-Choice America, issued the following statement in response to Donald Trump’s pledge tonight to nominate justices to the Supreme Court who would overturn Roe v. Wade:

“Yet again, Donald Trump proves he’s no friend to women by doubling down on his desire to take away the autonomy we have over our bodies. His disdain for women knows no bounds, and if he’s elected president, it would have the impact of endangering women’s lives. Whether it’s his previous assertion that a woman should be punished for having an abortion, or pledging to appoint a justice who would overturn Roe v. Wade, Donald Trump would be a disaster for women and families.”
