NARAL Pro-Choice America released the following statement in response to Marco Rubio’s recent comment that we don’t need the the Equal Rights Amendment for women anymore:
“What’s ‘outdated’, and actually dangerous, is Marco Rubio’s positions on policies that help women and families. He doesn’t believe a woman should have access to abortion for any reason, even if she is a survivor of rape or incest, or infected with Zika. In his world, he’s the decider of what women can or can’t do with their bodies, and their futures. Floridians deserve a senator who trusts women to make our own decisions. That person is Patrick Murphy.”
