Caforio (CA-25) Earns Endorsement of Nation’s Leading Pro-Choice Advocacy Group
NARAL Pro-Choice America today announced its endorsement of Bryan Caforio in his campaign to represent California’s 25th Congressional District. Caforio faces anti-choice incumbent Rep. Steve Knight, who has spent his time voting to attack women’s health care instead of standing up for the real priorities of California families.
“NARAL is proud to endorse pro-choice leader Bryan Caforio in his campaign for Congress, and to stand with him as he fights to defend our reproductive freedom,” said Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America. “California’s women and families deserve a leader who makes their well-being a priority, not an afterthought. But Bryan’s opponent has spent his time in Congress focused on banning abortion and defunding Planned Parenthood. Those aren’t the priorities of California families, who want their leaders focused on creating jobs and protecting access to basic health care, including abortion. Bryan listens to the needs of hardworking families and is dedicated to being their voice in Congress.”

Congressman Knight’s anti-woman record is wrong for this district. When I’m in Congress I will always stand up for a woman’s right to choose.”
Bryan Caforio faces one of the most extreme, anti-choice politicians in Congress: Rep. Steve Knight. Knight has a long record record of pushing policies that hurt women and families and has said that abortion should be outlawed without exception. He’s voted multiple times to defund Planned Parenthood, supported a nationwide abortion ban at 20 weeks of pregnancy, and voted for policies that restrict access to abortion services for low-income women. He even supported a bill that would allow bosses to fire single women who become pregnant.
