NARAL Gets Out the Vote for Quist

With Election This Thursday, NARAL Members Across Montana Are Making One Final Push to Support Our Reproductive Freedom

With just days until election day, NARAL members and pro-choice activists across Montana are mobilizing voters to get out the vote for Rob Quist. To help Get Out The Vote, NARAL has been knocking on doors, making phone calls, staging public events, and running digital ads in support of Quist’s campaign. With our reproductive freedoms under increasing attack by anti-choice politicians like Greg Gianforte, turning out the pro-choice majority in Montana has never been more important.

“We can’t afford to sit this one out. On Thursday, let’s support Rob Quist and send a message to the nation that our core values aren’t for sale,” said Alison James, PAC chair of NARAL Pro-Choice Montana. “Montana families deserve leaders who will stand up for our values in Washington, not just another politician who trades away our rights. Enough is enough. It’s time we elect a true fighter for our reproductive freedom; a leader who will expand access to basic healthcare and defend our fundamental rights. For Montana women and families, that leader is Rob Quist, and NARAL members across the state are proud to support his campaign for Congress.”

A Montana native and community activist, Rob Quist’s dedication to standing up for women and families stands in stark contrast to his opponent, anti-choice politician Greg Gianforte. While Rob Quist calls for protecting and expanding women’s access to critical reproductive healthcare, Gianforte is obsessed with eliminating it, including calls to defund Planned Parenthood.

Gianforte has long pushed a fringe ideology that seeks to limit women’s access to basic healthcare and has steered millions of dollars to anti-choice groups that seek to restrict Americans’ reproductive freedom. This included more than $1.6 million given by his family foundation to anti-abortion centers that lie to women about their reproductive health care options and push an anti-choice ideology under the guise of providing healthcare. NARAL Pro-Choice America and NARAL Pro-Choice Montana released a report in 2013 revealing the extreme and deceptive measures employed by many of these anti-choice organizations in order to prevent women from exercising their right to choose abortion care.

NARAL Pro-Choice America and its network of state affiliates are dedicated to protecting and expanding reproductive freedom for all Americans.
