NARAL Statement on #JusticeForJane Ruling

NARAL Senior Vice President Sasha Bruce issued the following statement in response to the latest decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals to allow Jane Doe to receive abortion care:

“The full Court of Appeals finally recognized what we knew all along: this was just another example of egregious overreach by the Trump administration to impose its anti-choice ideology on Americans and roll back reproductive rights. For the anti-choice movement, this was never about Jane Doe’s health. It was about using the courts to impose an out-of-touch agenda on our most vulnerable women.

“Let’s be clear: the Trump administration and the anti-choice GOP will do whatever it takes to ban abortion for all women. They are preying on marginalized, vulnerable women like Jane Doe in order to achieve that goal. Until the Trump administration and anti-choice GOP understand that abortion access is a basic human right, we will keep fighting for women like Jane Doe.”
