(Washington, D.C.) — In response to reports that Trump’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has been coordinating under-the-radar with a designated hate group to deny women access to healthcare, NARAL Pro-Choice America National Communications Director Kaylie Hanson Long issued the following statement:
“This latest development is a particularly egregious example of how this Administration will literally stop at nothing to undermine the rights of women by denying access to abortion care, contraception, and the many other critical healthcare services that Planned Parenthood provides women across the country. That Trump’s HHS would do the ideological bidding of an established hate group, in secret, should set off the gravest alarm bells for every American.
“NARAL and our members pledge to hold this anti-choice administration accountable for every single action they take to undermine our reproductive freedom, especially when they attempt to do so in secret and in coordination with an extreme and dangerous designated hate group.”
