NARAL Pro-Choice America Endorses Michelle Lujan Grisham for Governor

NARAL Pro-Choice America today announced its endorsement of Michelle Lujan Grisham in her campaign for Governor of New Mexico.

“Congresswoman Lujan Grisham has been a steadfast champion for New Mexico women and families in Congress, and we could not be more proud to endorse her candidacy for Governor,” said Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America. “With the onslaught of attacks on women’s health at the state level, it is more important than ever to elect champions to protect our access to care. Congresswoman Lujan Grisham has always been a leader and we know she will continue to put New Mexico’s women and families first in the Governor’s mansion.”

As a congresswoman, Michelle Lujan Grisham has been leading the fight against the repeated attacks on women’s health by the GOP. From co-sponsoring bills to protect access to birth control to speaking out against state legislature bills, like an abortion ban in Texas that would make it illegal for a woman to access abortion later in pregnancy, Lujan Grisham has been an outspoken advocate for reproductive freedom.
