Incumbent in Arizona’s 1st Congressional District Earns Endorsement from Nation’s Leading Pro-Choice Advocacy Group

NARAL Pro-Choice America today announced its endorsement of Congressman Tom O’Halleran in his campaign for re-election to represent Arizona’s 1st Congressional District.
“Congressman O’Halleran is a fighter for Arizona women and families, and we are proud to endorse his re-election to Congress,” said Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America. “We need members of Congress like Congressman O’Halleran who will stand up to the extreme anti-choice GOP and be a consistent ally for reproductive freedom.”
“I am grateful to be endorsed by NARAL Pro-Choice America, and will continue to stand with women across Arizona and our country,” said O’Halleran. “Protecting access to healthcare, and maintaining the important relationship between a woman and her doctor will continue to be priorities of mine as I represent Arizona families in Washington.”
While in Congress, O’Halleran voted against an unconstitutional abortion ban, and fought hard to protect access to abortion for women across the country. He has been a vocal advocate for protecting the birth control benefit in the Affordable Care Act, understanding the critical role it plays in allowing women to chart their own futures and destinies.
