NARAL Pro-Choice America congratulates endorsed candidates Rep. Alma Adams (NC-12) and Kathy Manning (NC-13) for their primary victories in North Carolina tonight. NARAL Pro-Choice America endorsed Adams and Manning because of their proven track records of advocating for women’s rights and reproductive freedom.
“Alma Adams and Kathy Manning are exactly the type of candidates that North Carolina’s women deserve, and they’ll use their time in office to fight for the reproductive rights of women in North Carolina and across the country,” said NARAL Pro-Choice America Political Director Nicole Brener-Schmitz. “We couldn’t be more excited to congratulate them on tonight’s victories, and we are so proud to stand with them through November.”
Adams is running for reelection, and has spent her time in Congress advocating for reproductive freedom, equitable healthcare, equal pay, and family leave. Manning is committed to expanding affordable, accessible healthcare for all, including reproductive healthcare, and is running for a seat currently held by anti-choice Republican Ted Budd.
