With a new Quinnipiac poll showing that more Americans oppose Brett Kavanaugh’s lifetime nomination to the Supreme Court than support it, Trump’s nominee is now the least popular Supreme Court nominee in history.
The numbers say it all. Using data from the Quinnipiac poll as well as a recent FiveThirtyEight article, Kavanaugh polls worse than failed nominees Harriet Miers and Robert Bork—and has dropped -13 from Gorsuch’s nomination last year.

“The American people have not been fooled—Brett Kavanaugh’s record shows he is a direct threat to our most fundamental rights, and, with the balance of the Court at stake, Americans are counting on their senators to reject him. In a country where 71% of Americans support Roe v. Wade, Kavanaugh would be a vote to gut Roe, criminalize abortion, and punish women. We need a jurist who will uphold our fundamental freedoms and act independent of this or any administration’s political aims.”
