NARAL Pro-Choice America today announced its endorsement of Lucy McBath in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District.
“Lucy McBath is both a champion for Georgia women and families and an inspiration to many of us,” said Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America. “She will be the fighter Georgians need in Congress to protect their rights. We are proud to support her and look forward to her winning this November.”

And the economic and social advancement of women depends on access to all reproductive health care options.”
Lucy McBath’s passion for public service was reaffirmed by her family’s tragedy in 2012. She is the mother of Jordan Davis, who was shot and killed at a gas station in Jacksonville by a man objecting to the music he was playing in his car. Losing her son in such a senseless way has fueled her lifelong commitment to community activism and the importance of political engagement. McBath has lobbied Congress, Georgia’s State House, and State Senate to enact common sense gun violence prevention laws that save lives. Lucy’s work in her home community in Cobb County includes creating the “Champion in The Making Legacy Foundation” which provides charitable and educational assistance to graduating high school students attending traditional as well as technical and training colleges and universities.
