NARAL Pro-Choice America today announced its endorsement of Earl Blumenauer in Oregon’s 3rd Congressional District.

In this moment, when the threat to our rights is greater than ever before, we need trusted allies in the fight to uphold Roe v Wade and protect our basic freedoms. We know that Earl Blumenauer will continue to serve as an ally in Oregon and beyond and we are thrilled to support him.”

Earl Blumenauer brings over twenty years of experience as a public official into the halls of the U.S. House of Representatives from his time as a member of the Oregon House of Representative and Portland City Commission. Congressman Blumenauer, who serves on the Congressional Pro-Choice Caucus, has dedicated his career to protecting, supporting, and expanding women’s reproductive rights. He is a pro-choice advocate and strongly supports the Global Health, Empowerment, and Rights (HER) Act. He has worked with his colleagues to introduce the Equal Access to Abortion Coverage in Health Insurance (EACH) Woman Act and the Women’s Health Protection Act. Congressman Blumenauer remains a strong advocate for a women’s right to choose and continues to oppose any efforts to repeal women’s access to reproductive health care services.
