Candidate in Massachusetts’ 3rd Congressional District Earns Endorsement from Nation’s Leading Pro-Choice Advocacy Group

NARAL Pro-Choice America today announced its endorsement of Lori Trahan in Massachusetts’ 3rd Congressional District.
“Women’s rights and reproductive healthcare are under attack like never before, and that’s why it is more important than ever to elect pro-choice champions like Lori Trahan be elected into office,” said Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America. “Lori is a proven advocate for reproductive rights and we have every confidence she’ll be on the front lines of the fight to protect and expand reproductive freedom. We’re thrilled to endorse her.”
“There are real threats to women’s rights that could affect generations of women to come. We need champions in Congress who will stand strong against any movement that will take away a woman’s right to choose or limit access to reproductive health care. We also need leaders in Washington who can build coalitions to break through the gridlock and fight for paid family leave,” Trahan said. “I am proud to stand with NARAL and look forward to working with them on these critical issues.”
Trahan is the former chief of staff and top advisor for Congressman Marty Meehan. After ten years of public service, Trahan became an executive at a Massachusetts tech startup before joining a business consulting firm focused on diversifying the workforce. Trahan is a pro-choice advocate who will ensure access to reproductive healthcare is a priority in Congress.
