In response to the ruling from a federal judge in Texas striking down the Affordable Care Act (ACA), NARAL Pro-Choice America Vice President Adrienne Kimmell issued the following statement:
“This ruling is an affront to the wishes of the American people, who have spoken time and again– including in the 2018 midterm elections– that they want to keep their healthcare, not have it ripped away. Every person deserves access to healthcare, including the full range of reproductive healthcare, and the Affordable Care Act has been the greatest expansion of reproductive healthcare in a generation. NARAL and our members stood up and spoke out for our right to health care and protect the ACA, and we will not sit on the sidelines.”
